Camping on Lady Musgrave Island is permitted for most of the year, although it can be closed
for short periods of time for conservation activities. A limit of 50 campers at one time
applies and strict guide lines regarding camping in National Parks apply. These are
unlikely to affect your stay if you are an environmental and
conservation minded person. A small camping fee applies which is payable to The Department of Environment and Heritage, who in turn
issue you a camping permit. Situated on the western side of the island the camping ground is
spartan by modern day standards boasting only composting
toilets compressor bunker for filling scuba tanks. |
